hmm, strange turn from your usual subjects in this drawing. it's much more abstract now. What I can see though: is that an alien womb? lol ok call me a freak but i really think that's an alien being created :/
i'm sure this image will get da ppl thinkin. from me as usual: +7/7
and i've seen the detail and it scares me.... really...

I kid. But truly, this is an impressive piece; kudos to anyone who can haul through such an overload of stippling. And I see some type of alien cuttlefish...perhaps a mutated octopus?
Nice work.

As you continue to improve on your technique and content, also think about your composition. While symmetrical works are interesting in their own way, try to find a way to keep the overall symmetry of form, while providing some variation in the detail. A tree, for instance, may appear to be very symmetrical from afar, but as you get closer, you see that the limbs, branches, twigs all have different angles, twists, turns, etc.
For this piece, you could have retained the overall symmetry formed by the tentacles, but changed the undulations so they wrapped in different directions. It would add some more elements to keep the viewer interested longer. And it may have made it a bit less tedious for you
So...did that make any sense at all?

The references were very helpful for the details btw...
There's something eerie about this piece but I like it though...looks like an Aztec or fertility god o_~
I wish I have a bit of your patience though...LOL

Ooops! Looks like the Goddess is holding a doggie. Wonderful image. The Goddess appears to be holding the doggie in a caring fashion, rather that by force. Perhaps this expresses another existence underwater with the Goddess as Protectoress. That fits my multi-dimensional thinking! I also like your presenting the Goddess and creature with eyes closed. Sleep in the Deep...drowning, but is there a continuation?
